Title Guru Maa Continues Her Mission in India 2003 Author Nayan Mitra Kisnadwala
Unparalleled Energy
Guru Maa has returned from India, after spending five months of spreading the word of Sri Hanumanji throughout India, and progressing the work on the Vedic Heritage Ashram in Lonavala. She also went on Her pilgrimages, chaired the annual competition of Sri Vishwanath Dev Sarma Art Foundation {AViDeS}, and finalized the program for the upcoming Dipawali festival. She is in process of finalizing the book on Sri Hanumanjis’ bhajans and mantras, and also did the necessary shopping for Baba’s and all Devi-Devtaa’s Shringar, and for Bajrang Bazaar. Even at this age, She is full of energy, barely sleeps a couple of hours each night, and yet accomplishes so much in so little time. She confided to me, that time is running out and She needs to speed up the progress of all Her missions!! This is on top of Her daily chanting of 108 Hanuman Chalisa Path, Puja-Aarti and Hawan. The healing services also continued in Lonavala. Besides, She was on Her Sadhna for the last 3 weeks prior to returning to the NY Ashram!! She is indeed an inspiration for all of us.

Vedic Heritage Ashram in Lonavala
Tremendous progress has been made at the Lohagarh site. The PWD/Forest Department has finally given the permission to build the road leading to our Ashram site. We expect the work to begin now within the next few months. Plans are being finalized for the water too. Either we will have the water uplifted from the lake, which will be a very expensive alternative. Less expensive could be the drilling of 10 bore-wells across the property. We already have two wells, and we are planning to test two more. It this works, and then we can forego the uplift project. Electricity has also been installed. The land phone lines will be laid out prior the end of April. Mobile phones already work there. The landscaping and gardening work for the nav-graha bags is being done at a rapid pace. We are also expecting to get the NOC for the mandalas above the Nav Graha Murtis.

The base Ashram site has been moved to a VHI owned property on April 2nd. Our new address is: Ravi Pangorli Estate, Pangorli Road, House Number 1, Lonavala, behind Kevalya Dham Ashram. A Hawan program was organized, and attended by scores of devotees besides the trustees and directors, with lot of enthusiasm and love.

Holi Celebrations
The first big celebration of Holi was organized at Kumar Resorts on the 22nd of March. The festive mood was enhanced by superb light and decoration arranged locally. All the six winners of the 2002 competition performed, and once again wowed the audience of nearly 600 people. Mr. D. Y. Patil, renowned educator, entrepreneur and philanthropist was the Chief Guest of the event, graced by all the trustees. The highlight of the evening was the outstanding performance of Guru Maa’s disciple, and famous folk-artist, Sri Rajendra Jain.

Sri Hanuman Satsanga Program in Ahmednagar
Sri Hanuman Satsanga group of Ahmednagar organized a 2-day program, in which Rajendra Jain accompanied Her Holiness Guru Maa. It was an unique program, where on the first day, Rajendra Jain sang the Sri Hanuman Chalisa couplets followed by the explanation by Guru maa. The first day’s event ended with the rendition of a song penned by Rajendra Jain himself on Sri Hanumat Puran. On the second day, Guru Maa gave a long Pravachan on Sri Hanumat Puran, which She has completed. The audience was totally lost in Bhakti, and many had the Darshan of Lord Sri Hanuman right there. Nearly 2,000 devotees must have been present. The hall was packed totally, and hundreds more watched it over CC TV on the second level hall. The Satsang itself does great work through the spread of Sri Hanuman Chalisa chanting. Every year the group takes the sankalpa to complete 1.25 lakh chalisa’s prior to Sri Hanuman Jayanti.

Praying for World Peace
The Lions Club International District 323 held a regional conference in Pune, and Her Holiness Sri Sri Guru Maa was invited for a Pravachan attended by more than 1,500 members. Guru Maa’s message was very clear. Everyone talks about peace, and thousands have marched throughout the world for anti-war demonstrations. But the patth towards peace begins with every individual within himself or herself. Every individual has to gain peace in his or her own mind, and become ‘shantimay’. One by one, if we gain peace with ourselves, peace around us will soon follow.

Akhanda Ramayana Patth
In our NY Ashram, we have Akhanda Ramayana Patth for 21 continuous days. In the Lonavala Ashram, we have made a start with the first one-day Patth chanting. Anu Bakshi from Phoenix, USA was the driving force behind it, and was very ably supported by the Lonavalites. They have also now made a start with one day and I am sure they will grow faster and beat the 21 day record very soon. They have already pledged to perform a five-day patth, next year.

The Iraq War
Guru Maa has been saying it since 1978 - the next World War will start after the turn of the century. She has predicted a long time ago that a Moslem leader in the Middle East will lead the Moslems against the Western powers led by USA. This is now looking true more than ever before. The Iraq war may seem to have ended – but the worse is yet to come. Guru Maa loves US, and US is where She has Her own Ashram, which has been instrumental in the spreading of Her message. But, as a spiritual guide, She can foresee not only death and destruction in the Middle East, but also in US. She has advised Her devotees to go back to India, and return to US after 2006!! Time will tell. Her predictions have always come true.
